5 days of clean CH-way OH surf from Malibu to SB. Even on a mushy day Rincon is a lot of fun.

8 ft @ 9-11 seconds from 250-255 does some very nice things in Santa Barbara County...

Spent three hours out at Jalama yesterday in a 3.2 and didn't even think about temperature. Clean HH peaks and only a handful out, made spending $65 for a season pass seem like a good deal.

Further south in the surfing media Capitol the dude shivered in a 3/2. Got a little too stoked on the water temps. Still no booties no gloves no hood, but back to the 4/3. Atlleast theres no need for the 6/4:D. Nothing much to write home about. Some nice ones here and there but overall the lack of swell is beginning to...well can't complaign really it's been about 70 and sunny everyday, not bad for winter eh? The midweek post dawnpatrol pre workers and schoolers and pre noon unemployed sessions are nice. Not quite like the zooweekends or afternnom rush. Beats the groms too! Damn kids shredding apart the waves. Gotta say though I'm quite jealous of pre and post school surf sessions and practice.

Santa Cruz Zoo.......
Chest high ....
mushy.....
Some sun...
Lack of dog beach runs...
No lack of dogs...
Bottom line to many people...
Not quit as bad as Seaside on a weekend!!
Nice to get out of town and surf .... 8)

not good news... but i find it hard to believe that it could be worse than seaside on a weekend? com'on really? btw the way, no hood no botties no gloves?
i was going to head that way soon, but the forecast is showing a bump in the swell, finally! buoyweather for the next two days is showing a 5-7 foot swell @ 15 seconds , however with lots of wind :? we shall see. theres a spot in between laguna and san clemente with lots of kelp which has seems to help a bit with on shore winds.

i forgot man  i do remember strands. Theres a hill hiker there. Possibly the only place in the world were a person can take an elevator with their surfboard down to the beach :o

pleasure point. what a great surf spot set up. the dude could live there.
I gotta say though the number of peaks between Cayucos and Monterey was shocking. Us humans sure are heard animals. Big sur is a fun drive. Some gnarly road construction going on there. Reminded me alot of some stretches in washington, both the washouts and winding highway.

Surf Gods country. And less crowded than Northern Oregon’s few reliable breaks. In fact, in SLO county their seeing a decrease in crowds due to the economy and lack of jobs :o

SLO is a nice area, from there to Monterey is pretty open. They get all the swell too, not like being inside of point C. Flatness abounds from there until ventura.
