Oregon Surfing/Camping

Postby bobtheblack » Sun Jul 03, 2011 2:29 pm

Hey all,

I'm taking a trip in a few weeks with a friend and we will be traveling through Oregon and Washington. We are hoping to do car tent camping near some surf (well, that's what I'm hoping to do). As for camping, we're looking for something kind of mellow (no RVs, tourist spots) with the possibility of going into town for live music if possible. As for surf, something that picks up a little bit of swell and not too crowded. It doesn't have to be all-time.

Anything come to mind?

Thanks in advance

okay, just returned from oregon. no surfing, but went in the water (in a wetsuit) at bullard's beach. the water was absolutely freezing. didn't go too far out, felt like a place that could drown you, not sure why. anybody ever surf there? looked like it picked up a little more swell than other places, but nobody in the water.
