60+ people in the line-up, 1/4 of them on SUP's. 3 waves in 3 hours on the 6'6", ready for the holiday weekend to be over, guess it could be worse though, it's offshore and head HI.

in my experience, 10% of the people get 90% of the waves 90% of the time.

Based upon my 4th of July session...
There were 2 out of 10 that could surf...
I was one of the 2...
The 8 others out caught waves...
But did not surf them generally...
And out of the 100 or so waves...
That came thru in the brief hour + I was out...
I caught maybe 20 of them...
The other surfer who could surf caught less...
[Shortboarder]...
So in this case it was 20% of the people...
Getting 30% of the waves [in total]...
A rough estimate of belly rides, wipeouts & wrong way drops...
Committed by the othe 80%...
Was probably also in the 30% range...
So 40% of the waves...
On a moderately crowded beach...
Were unridden.

Going over the falls at the Epicenter and landing foot first on my newest CA shaped fish thing's fin. I completely pulled the fin box out and my foot is black and blue and I can't walk right.
The waves were excellent and uncrowded that day for approximately 2 hours.

I'm pissed at you now, too, for having that attitude. You really think it's OK to stack up trash just because there happens to be a dumpster there? Where to you live? I'll come and stack my trash on your garbage can.
But I'm mostly pissed that this is a "State Park" but has no personnel and no facilities although it's one of the most heavily used beaches in Oregon.

see that brown door to the right of the Public Restrooms sign? That's where the servers that host oregonsurf.com are housed. If you knock and introduce yourself, they'll give you a free sticker and maybe even a free t-shirt or beanie. Sometimes you just have to wait a little bit for them to answer, because they're always really busy backing up files and cleaning up spam-bots.

Easy tiger. Eeeeasy. At least they didn't leave it on the beach! 'sall I'm sayin'.
And hopefully you don't think that just because trash gets schlepped from point a to point b by the garbage fairy (i.e. Waste Management Corp or valley kooks.) it disappears. Sure, in the PC parking lot it's an eyesore, but it's not doing anyone much more good when it lands in a landfill. Be glad it got rounded up, is kept out of the ocean for now, and will get hauled out of your hair in the coming week. See, magic.

I'm with earzit on this one. Better piled there than scattered on the beach.
I'm also with you. there should be better managment of that "state park". Too bad the liberal legislature cut the funding for state parks. Oh, and soon you will have to pay a fee to park there.
And why are there no recycling cans there?
Why don't one (or more) of you "locals" adopt the damn place and care for it?
