I'm stoked that Mitch has been quoted in the local news rag for his heroic actions.

Seeing Jacob post.
It reminds me of a punchy little right I shared with NM while Fish floundered on the inside.
Many moons ago.
Was cruising the Pickle that day.
Paddled up the way later and it was overhead and closing out.
Should have stayed down the way.
Good day in the water.
Miss the Pickle.
Miss Fish.
Fish floundered a lot.
Few people ever knew it, but he could actually surf.
Saw it happen.
Once.

The mid 90's are now considered "classic". Damn I am getting old I guess.

I couldn't wait to get older...
But now this getting older crap really sucks.

C'mon man, you want to come back to being an angst ridden 30-something who is having to face real life, early parenthood and so on...?

Let me tell you, the modern 30-something male is an ugly specimen. Anxiety-ridden, no sense of worth- it is bullsh*t. I look at my friends in their 30s and all of them are going through some crisis or another. The booze, drugs, surfing and skateboarding are finally catching up to them. Screaming babies and wanker bosses breathing down their necks. Antidepressants and spiritual bleakness. Absolutely zero emotional availablity.

Those of us who are married... well...
and those of us who are single- jesus what a mindfield that appears to be.

You are in a far better place Doc. You are on top of the world. You've earned your 10'6" and beer belly. You don't want to suffer this sh*t again. You are royalty and I need you as stable example of something to aim for.
