I've got a secret for ya, I no longer use toilet paper...only anti-bacterial wet ones. Here's another one, "the Secret" is just another gimmick.

It is what you make of it. Likely you won't get that mansion and sports car you're begging for 24/7 with the powers of positive thought, but it's the idea of being positive to attract positivity - which it tends to.

Don't want a sportscar, my old truck is fine and I can sleep in it. Don't want a mansion either, it's just me and one bed room is plenty. What I would like is some student loan forgiveness but I don't dwell on it, I'm employed and that's a lot right now. I also don't need a book, video, or other consumer disposable to tell me to have a positive outlook, that mind set seems self evident to me but your point is noted and I don't discount the fact that some people need for a crutch like scientology, christianity, or ..."the Secret."

are people so afraid of any sort of dogma to help them be happy more often?

cmon now...it's a book/movie, not a religion, its self help stuff
like most things in life, take it with a grain of salt

and yes, don't bet on it making you rich without a lot of hard work to make it happen too, but you won't get rich thinking you'll never get rich, thats the main point, simple stuff, hard to deny if you ask me.

but it's harmless enough, and i don't feel threatened or cheated by it or like anyone is pulling any wool over my eyes

it's just an idea after all

A lot of it seemed like common sense.
But I have known people that have 'all the luck' no matter what they do or where they go - every little thing falls int place for them and all they have to do is smile.

Wish I was! H.R.'s solo band played here a few times at an low-capacity lounge and I heard it was good.

Show was good, amp levels high. Unfortunatley HR wasent that into it, but everyone else was. I knew that would be the case though. Got into the pit a few times, which was pretty insane. Monotonix opened and those guys were pretty crazy and had lots of live energy. Good show all around for what it was.

This stokes me, getting in the pit just proves you're still young and dumb!
