Thats wishfull thinking.

SW 7? Look at the period! SW 7 at 6 = wind swell garbage. Not a real swell. I'd say keep working. 12 hours yesterday = $ for new boards, mid winter trip, and time off come Sept/Oct for hunting and surfing.

Yep that's the one, you can claim it back the next time we get together to show a little surf.

When I get to experience a quality of fish that is superior to the daily catch so to speak.

In my job, my passion, I am blessed every now and then to run accross a batch f fish that is extremely superior to what most people will see in a lifetime.

It could be an exceptional Ahi, maybe some Mahi, Ono, Escolar, or Barumundi. Maybe some rock fillet, or some whole cooked crabs in late december, full, and hefty.

Today it was fresh Coho Salmon out of some chilly unheard of river area off one of the islands.

So fresh, so chrome bright, that their backs were an emerald green.

Amidst a few thousand pounds of the regular laymen quality catch were a few hundred pounds of complete gems.

I took pictures, felt them, smelled them, and eventually took one home and ate some of it at it's peak in perfection.

It happens only once or twice a year, but when it does, I remember one of the big reasons why I like my job so very much.

I remember last summer we got a tote of troll kings in off the North Oregon Coast. So fresh and bright that their backs were a chrome blue. Firm, cold, and sweet as hell.

I wanted to get naked and get into the tote with them.

Having dinner with my best friend from when I was young. We were best buds from age 9 through 24. I spent more time with him as a young man then I did with my whole family.
