Saturday was the first time I ever gave stinkeye to someone. There was this ripper dude with a guy taking photos of him. The photographer had one of those setups you always see in pictures of Pipeline with the handle and water housing. Anyways, the ripper wasn't anything special and he dropped in on me twice. Both times he made eye contact and shoulder hopped anyways, even though I was already on both waves for a good 7 seconds. Yelled at him the second time as I barely escaped fins to the face then stankeyed him. The waves weren't that critical but at least there'll be a couple of pictures of me making sections with him looking like the kook that he is.
Then as I was packing to leave shortsands 20 people asking if they could take my parking spot; one of which gets ticked off at me since there weren't any more sites available.
Lastly, not being able to finish a wave cause the inside is laced with Bics and Soft Tops. That's my fault for not being mentally prepared for the summer onsluaght.

I am so sick of crappy restaurant staff.
The performance of a waiter should not be affected by a tip. They should not have to bust their @sses in hopes of receiving a good tip. They should bust their @sses because thats the job they chose to do and if anything, the employer should pay them for doing a job well done. I shouldn't have to coerce anybody into doing well at their job, especially one of choice. If they can't do their job well without relying on customers to pay their salary, then they don't deserve a job.

I'm not saying that waitresses don't deserve to get paid. But it should be the employer's responsibility, not the customer's. Also, she's not performing rocket science.

People only tip for 3 reasons. 1 - to conform to the norm. 2 - to impress. 3 - to empathize for the low income waitress.

A - I'm not a conformist
B - I'm not here to impress anybody
C - f@#K you, you chose your job. If you aren't happy with what you're making maybe you should forfeit your tips and give them straight to your employer in exchange for an hourly minimum wage because that's all you deserve, for you are the 'bitch' in this relationship. Now fetch me some ketchup, wench.

It doesn't make much sense if I go and give a nice tip to a waitress for doing good job, in hopes of getting the same or better service in the future, only to go back to the restaurant and get some other jackass gunt for a server.

Bottom line - It is not the customer's responsibility to pay a waitress' salary. We've already given our money to YOUR EMPLOYER. Get it from him!
It's a retarded rule or law whatever the hell it may be, that allows employers to pay their waitresses so little per hour. But then again with a minimum wage salary PLUS tips, you'd be making a killing at over $20 an hour and no waitress deserves that, and I don't care if you're serving for Chef Ramsey.
How many times have you tipped your doctor for swabbing your twat? How many times have you tipped his secretary? How many times have you been pulled over for speeding and tipped the cop for doing a JOB WELL DONE?
