Sorry to hear it Erzats. A town the size of PO probably doesn't need 3 cop cars, unless they pay for themselves. Seriously though, do not break 30mph in PO or Reedsport, they are waiting.

Yeah, I don't do well under pressure. Cop mentioned the yellow sign "30mph ahead" with flashing lights and asked if I'd seen it. All I could say was "nope". Nailed me for 47 in a 30. Ouch.

Almost blew it in Croissant City, but I had munched a pot brownie that day, so I had trouble keeping up with the speed limit.

Bummed for you Erz...

Don't know if it is a budget deal or a low-cost speed deterent, but a lot of little towns are parking their empty cars along 101 in auspicious places, most notably Bandon and Gold Beach. PO must've had a good wkend cause their car was parked in the same place both times we went through today.

There is an app for the iphone called "Trapster". It uses the GPS and google maps to show the locations of typical traps and current ones based on user content. I have tried it and it worked quite nicely although you lose the signal going through the passes.

On hwy26 I always see people pulled over where the spring water pullout is. So they must sit just before that. I believe its a 2 lane section headed east. The part that needs to be paved.

counted 4 on 26 westbound about 4-4:30pm today - 2 were sheriff, 2 were state troopers.
only one had a victim pulled over at the time.
One was tucked in near the woods by the gas station next to the elderberry inn
