So if ya want to be a real surfer...you need to look like a surfer right? Here's how I do it:

First...pull on those boardshorts:

...these have a pic of Donavan on 'em so there's that 'xtra' cool factor. If you wear boxers make sure they show. Learned that in 4th grade! If ya go commando, no worries. If it's warm enuf yer done...but, if not you might consider:

Ripcurl's ok...Volcom, Hollister or maybe Hurley will do to...just make sure there's a logo...chah!
I also recommend a grey plaid flannel shirt...unbuttoned tho...

You're pretty much good to go...but you might consider the following:

There's a ton of other stuff you can buy...what self respecting surfer would be caught without these?

Anyway, you're ready to hit the waves...enjoy bro!

Make sure ya got one of these waiting on the beach for ya!

I wear a mesh (trucker whatever) hat. It is the only thing that makes my hair look good. I don't wear it with a sense of irony. I respect truckers and trucking. I don't care if The Mecury says truckers hats are done. Usually i wear it fowards by for this photo shoot I chose to wear it backwards. The T-shirt is a homemade design. I want to model for Seaplane- A wonderful store in NW Portland for the fashoin elite.

It's your desire to be a fashionista that has caused a Hex to be put on the pikeys.

Tuck that thing back in.

Doc, is your avatar from Rashomon?

Trula, would you wear one of my shirts? Maybe you will when you find out how the hole gets there.

So where do my Birkenstocks fall in line? Are Birkenstocks now just surfer passé? Have I reached the point of no longer being cool? No matter what the cost is, I just let Surfer and Surfing dress me. Damn!!!

I need to lean more towards Napoleon fashion principles.

What ever happened to the good ole days where you could drive around with a surfboard on top of your car, pull up to the beach, take the board and your stuff down to the beach, slam the board in tail first into the sand and then just hang there for the day?

I just "rediscovered" my Op cord shorts for stylin'
on the boardwalk and my Birdwell britches for when
it's overhead and clean.

Real surfers don't wear shirts or shoes, so shine all that
bullsh it.

A little zinc on my nose and some foster grants wraparounds
to hide behind...it's all coming back, I tell ya.
