Waking up whever I felt like it.

Even catching a fish or two.

Best part was one morning when I got out of bed, got coffee, and got bakc in bed and watched a movie....

This photo of Lance Mountain at Astoria. If you've been there you'll know this corner is not to be trifled with.

Best South swell of the summer (so far) arrived on Oahu Tuesday 8) and peaked yesterday with occasional 15' faces  A buddy took me on a long paddle out to a good left with 6 others out. Forecast is looking good, and I'm here for another 5 weeks...

it was a sprint - 400m swim, 12 mile bike, 5 k run.
next year i might try olympic which is twice as long, and then go from there.

i am having a blast training for this. sprint does not take an inordinate amount of time (like ironman training)
just put in time every day, 6 days a week. it worked for me - i was not totally exhausted upon finish. which probably means i should have run faster.
