Would you recommend a best of Nina Simone or is there a particular album that tingles the spine as a whole?

Also for anyone that knows: Same question but regarding Django Rhinehardt.

If you're looking for something that showcases some of her best work.....The Anthology is a good one.

Zappa/Mothers - Cheepnis

*pra_ggresion- as far as Django, check out "Nuits de Saint-Germain des Paris" or the album with Grapelli, I don't remember what it's called.

Thank you.
I think that just convinced me to go kill a couple of hours at the Millenium.

I agree, anthology is great, or pastel blues.

Havent seen 49 for months. I turned off the fridge in the kitchen since it worked harder to WARM up to 40! But I hope you get that fixed soon.

check out the Scion Tour Mixed tape by Cosmo Baker and DJ Ayers. I don't know where to get it. A dj buddy of mine burned it for me, but its so good. A lot of hip hop, mixed with rock, funk, and grime. All up beat and very dancy. Great for heading to the beach or mountain

I got a hold of Nina Simones "young gifted and black." That album is heavy. she talks at one point about how "The king is dead. peaceful protest isn't enough" and then goes into a song called "Mississippi Goddam." Makes me realize how few these days are stepping up. Soon someone credible will start inspiring. At least thats what listening to her music makes me believe.
