I do agree the grocery clerks probably don't need a Union, but I'm willing to bet it was started because most large chains were similar to walmart in the way they treat employees.

Why would you say that? Only skilled blue collar workers (read the already unionized cronies, and recipients of the nepotism rife in the guild) are worthy of union protection? Let's make three working classes, the haves, the haves union, and the scum.

Yeah um.. they have tried to Unionize Walmart you tard. Walmart is very good about getting around and shutting that talk down, just like they are good at getting away with paying below minimum wage because the fines still are cheaper to pay than the workers!

A dedicated Teamsters union worker was attending a convention in Las Vegas and decided to check out the local brothels. When he got to the first one, he asked the Madam, “Is this a union house?”

Seems to me, a lot of people earning a decent wage is better in every way for society (meaning me) than having that money concentrated in a couple of pockets. A decent job means less crime, less social problems, less people my taxes have to support.
