Andy - I just got it and have only listened to it a few times, so this is an early take, but so far I think it compares quite favorably to Alter. You named 3 of my all time favorite songs of theirs, and this album seems to have some of the creativity of songs like Diamond and Hollywood, while retaining the heavy edge that makes them Floater. The guitar work is really interesting and all over the map stylistically (blues, reggae etc.), and Wynaldas lyrics are poignant and haunting as ever (he seems to be trying some new stuff with his voice as well) and his bass continues to hammer. Id say get it if you are a Floater fan.
Ahhhhh choking on dust on a Mexican bus ahh!
