Dumb looking and dumb are two different things. And the one photo of the late bottom turn, is, actually pretty cool. All I'm saying is that I think surf girl ad porn is lame and it perpuates a myth about beauty that I don't subscribe to, nor do I think it does anything but hurt women in general. None of this is to say that I don't find women attractive, but true attraction is a lot more complex than eye candy--- its chemistry, its type, its political, its a lot more than, 'nice piece of azz.' When I see women like that, in that formulaic base jerk off pose, , I think--- you suck, have some dignity. Clint, you know some of the women I've hung out with, and what's hot about them is that they'd kick someone's azz for looking at them the way. Beauty = strength, poise, grace, dignity, intellect, creativity, athleticism, and chemistry. I don't get any of that from looking at those photos. I'm not some saint who doesn't find ladies attractive, it's just that visceral feeling is predicated on something different than what those images purport. But whatever, to each their own.

Last time I went to the gym, I saw the sickliest looking woman in the locker room--I could have counted every bone in her back. She definitely worked out. Definitely. She also looked like she didn't eat, because she was a walking skeleton.
I saw her on the scale.

Being a skinny blonde is not that easy for most girls. Have you ever seen how many women go to a Weight Watchers meeting. If it were easy they would not be paying the $40 a month minimum member fee plus everything else. I know there is no physical way that I will ever be a size 4 but I am okay with that. The only person that I care what they think about my body is my boyfriend, and myself. Curves are sexy.

This is a tough call for me.

One one side, I am a man. Men...even men like you Gills.... are (at least at the more primal point) visually driven.

These women are hot. You know it. I know it. And the advertisers know it.

If any straight man looks at these women and does not think they are attractive...they are lying. Either about not finding them attractive, or about their sexual alignment.

On the other hand, I am a father of a teenage girl.

I survived more than one relationship with neurotic and borderline disordered workout-a-holics and self deprivation size 2 girls.

My daughter refuses to take off her hoodie.

Why?

Because she thinks she is fat.

She is about 5 foot 4 and 135 lbs of budding curves.

But she is not even close to being fat.

But...she is also not close to being the images that are presented to her through advertisement, TV, movies, and even her teen heart-throb magazines and music videos.

She has a better body than most of her friends and is on the lighter side of many of her fellow students.

But she thinks she is fat.

And she will not take off her hoodie.

I have known many women in my life who have lived in shame, struggled, fought, tortured themselves, and nearly destroyed their lives, all because they did not look like the girls in those photos.

Those photos are a lie.

And so is any heterosexual man who says they are not attractive.

It is a slippery slope.

In my opinion...the most attractive part of a woman is her mind.

I also like women in glasses.

However I am just shallow enough to have my own limits.

A prisoner likely to my own brainwashed ways.

However, the woman I love right now...could be as big as a house....but then again...I am certainly glad she is not.

But I digress....

BS.....your perpetuation of this idyllic myth is noting more than a perpetuation of the shame and guilt that so many girls and women drag with them every day.

Their guilt...is yours.

The fact they objectify them differently is makes no differrence, it leaves 7/8ths of the men on the face of the earth unacceptable partners. The last time I saw a man riding around on a stallion with money falling out of his pockets looking for a plain jane girl to take to Paris for long walks on the beach and french kissing was never. It was the same time the chicks in those ads were hanging on my arm panting for me to take them home.
