News story of the day:
McCain picks Palin as running mate
Alaska governor to be first female Republican VP nominee

That's quite a PR move to bring over anyone who really wanted a woman in the white house. You know they are out there.. know nothing of politics and what Clinton/Palin stand for, but damnit if they don't think a woman will fix the world

Somewhere, there is a joke out there, about a black man traveling across the country,(holding out a paper cup) asking for change.

Side note, http://www.theonion.com/content/video/d ... ally_leaks

Wow. Ok.... That is an interesting choice. On one hand an obvious and maybe wise pandering to the disaffected Hillary clones. On the other hand she has virtually zero experience, but Obama can't really play that card either.

I really don't know much about the lady, but one thing I can tell you after living in Alaska for +30 years though; never trust anyone that Alaskans would vote for.

She is kinda hot though...

Mccain is nuts if he thinks this will attract Hillary voters. Palin is the antichrist to the Clintons.

And do you really think that Obama has 'less' experience than she does? My god man, two years ago she was the mayor of a town in a state that all together has 1/4 the population of Brooklyn. Putting someone like this in the number two position when its almost guaranteed that Mccain will suffer serious health problems during the course of a presidency is straight up dangerous, and irresponsible. Nobody has even met her--- And Mccain has only met her once before...

Interview with Palin: Are you ready to be president?

"Yup, yup."

If people vote for her because she's 'kind of hot', well, I guess they fall in line with why Mccain picked her, and the downfall of the United States is already baked into the cake.

From Newsweek.......It's hard to know how many women will flock to the GOP ticket because of Palin. She is a far-right conservative who supported Pat Buchanan over George W. Bush in 2000. She thinks global warming is a hoax and backs the teaching of creationism in public schools. Women are not likely to be impressed by her opposition to abortion even in the case of rape and incest.

It is, and for none of the reasons you stated.
