I know this was done at some point and the original thread has long since been removed. So...I'm reviving this topic. Especially since we (Gaz & I) just adopted a rescue puppy.

Meet Stussy.....

She is Taiwanese Mountain Dog mix (Formosan). She was found abandoned with a litter mate on a popular hiking trail in Taiwan. She's about 11 weeks old and smart as a whip.

I don't do pets.

Changing diapers for 4 years scarred me.

Can't really wrap my mind around the concept of picking up shite behind any animal.

I definitely cant fathom the idea of an animal shitting in my house sandbox or otherwise or the hair they shed over everything.

My dog, Porkchop is a water dog. I've gotten into open water swimming lately, competing (and losing, but not coming in DFL at least). Chops swam from La Jolla bay halfway to Blackies and back with me-- about 2 miles. He sits on my flip flops when I'm out surfing, and comes running when he sees me getting out of the water. He's a Gold Beach loc, born in jail at the Curry County Animal Shelter. He's BFF's with Clemmy. He's almost ten. He's rad and I'll be destroyed when he passes.

Gaz and Nmm, if I can give you any advice at all on a new pup, just spend as much time with him as you can for the first 1.5 years. This is the time when your dog's personality will be determined. Don't leave him alone, even if you leave him in the car, he'll know he's with you. Dogs become good dogs if they're part of the pack. You are his pack. He's not meant to be alone. I can't wait to meet him!

That is the red board. Last I saw it was over a year ago and it was in disrepair mortally wounded buckled taking on water everywhere but still floating and catching everything. Last I heard Russo told her to just ride it until it breaks.

good to hear it's still surfing but bummer to hear it's disintegrating. I was worried about that. When I saw that board down south, I thought it was just the prettiest board... The shop it was in closed, and I contacted Bates, and he still had it. He warned me when I bought it that he cranked that board out really fast to get some inventory in the shop, and that the glass was a little thin. He wasn't kidding, I repaired several spots where the glass was paper thin. Fun board though, and what an eye catcher. I'm a sucker for transluscent glassed on fins... I love that groovy 60's-70's vibe. Y'know, I could never walk the nose on that thing, really. A cheater five, sure, but if I tried to get all the way out there it'd just sink,
