Im stoked on this thread. Im a music fanatic and pimp, and I love checking out new stuff.

Gills..

The Blue Scholars are a Philipino guy and an Indian (as in India) guy. One has insane flow and some really smart, thoughful words while the other spins some really cool, borderline jazz style beat. Its great, and they are small time from the PNW so you gotta support um. Check their myspace and stream a couple of tracks. Check "The Ave" and "Southside Revivial".

Fresh Mode..

I got a few of those. (Del, Del La Soul, Atmosphere), but if you want to email me a couple mp3's of some of the other stuff, I'd be stoked. Im always looking for new Music. Ill PM you my email address.

Good call on the Expendables. I was way into the Cali Dub Rock Reggae scene for a while. We met Pepper surfing (well Yesod (drummer) and Remy (former dub/sound guy) in Encinitas and hung out with them alot for a while before they started touring nonstop, also meeting Josh Fischel and Slightly Stoopid through them. Some classic individuals to be sure. I never met them, but I do agree that the Expendables go off!! If you want any lve stuff by any of those guys, hit me up, I have a few choice shows in .wav format (or just go chack out the Sublime Archive if you dont mind mp3's).

Betty.. (or anyone) if you want a few mp3s of any of this to sample it and see if you like it, PM me youe email address.

Finally.. One of my favorite bands right now, The Dirty Heads(kind of a hip hop Slightly Stoopid - if you have seen Second Thoughts you know their song "No Time For Yall" which is one of my favorites) are about to drop a new album and have samples of 4 of their new tracks on their myspace (just went up yesterday). Check it out (The Neighborhood is classic):

Alohas and spread the music.

Luther Wright and the Wrongs.

"Rebuild the wall"

Sort of like fear and loathing down on the farm.

The sound of Makers Mark being poured and swallowed.

Accompanied by the sound of my angry heart.

A symphony of sorts.

Jenkins, I saw Wolf Mother a couple of weeks ago. Made me want to go home and pull out the Molly Hatchet. From Australia, I like the Living End better.

Arctic Monkeys
Fat Freddy's Drop
Steve Earle
Transplants
and Dukes of Hazzard Soundtrack are on the top of the pile right now.

And my wife has been on a real Cash kick lately, so I've been listening to a lot of that.
