Sort of like my three sons, only different.

I look at my friends objectively. It is one of those weird traits that many of my friends enjoy to some degree.

I do not support them, or come to their need blindly based on our friendship.

To some degree I believe letting them hang themselves is kinda fun.

However, I have some strong opinions about the banning of one of my friends.

The Betty, Honey, The Blonde, whatever you want to call her, she has been whacked.

Word on the street is it is due to the content of her posts and her language.

A friend of mine said he found it weird too, but only because he and I got her humor and understood.

I understand that this is a business first, and our playground second.

However, it would be unlike me to allow others to influence what I would normally say.

And for a friend that deserves it, I would not hesitate in putting it on the line for them.

I for one would not have banned her.

If the content was that offensive, it should have been adressed a long time ago.

Thoughts?

It looks like she's not gone yet.
But I'm with you, I'm not quite sure where she crossed the line. I'd prefer to have her around.

PS: Is it hard to take me seriously with a pink wetsuit av?

I don't think a ban was warranted.

I think she's one of the few women on here that regularly posts that can shut down the male ego that gets a little out of control at times.

I think her stuff is too porno at times. I can see how it would be offensive parents, childrens etc...-- but, it doesn't offend me-- I just ignore it, but I don't have children.

She is a good person in real life. She has the mouth of trucker. Or maybe two truckers. But seriously, some of the avatars are way more graphic than any of that.

Google is way more offensive than all of the above.

i say, its the internet, its not real life. no one is real here. and if any one is offended by any thing they read or see here, well then they should be banned. the beauty of the internet is that it is not censored by the fcc like every thing else. i personally have no problems with anyone on this site and have never ever been offended by anyone on this crazy matrix. but whatever man. to each is own or whatever.

If there's a ban, I hope it gets reversed.

If there's a content issue, address it w/the offender. If it doesn't get fixed, THEN perform a radical Bettyectomy.

Reign her in if necessary (or possible?). I enjoy her posts, the ones that weren't infuriating or disgusting.

I think it's a fact that I should have been banned long before her. Someone PM me and let me know if she's really gone.

I'm not privy to the current sheriff's decision...

But yeah...The Blonde was banned.

Although I know none of her aliases, I truly enjoyed The Betty, although she flagrantly roasted me in public, I know she secretly desired me and desperately wanted to possess the key to the pleasure I harvested from riding waves.... Although crude at times I thought it overall enjoyable and a necessary balance to the (for lack of better terms) Yin/Yang of the OSP forum...

I agree with what Doc has to say almost universally, but in this instance too-- because if we've gotten into the 'example' phase of the OSP then it's done anyway.

The Honey Betty Blonde is back on. Earlier in the week I got a few complaints regarding some of her posts, so I sent a PM to OSeditor telling her and asking her to take a look at Her posts. A couple of days later I got a response telling me to set up the ban. I have received many PM in support of The Blonde so I sent another PM to OSEditor asking to remove the Ban. My apologies to The Blonde, and everyone out there that sent me PMs regarding her. I have a idea of what this site should be...a mix of funny, flaming, and surf chat. It is all that but not on the level that I think it should be, but I am only one opinion. Now I can get back to my self imposed exile. I'm not quitting just taking a break. Only quitters and smokers quit.
