Should I take it?

So I got a prescreening phone yesterday to set up a phone interview. It would be South of Yachats at Cape Perpetua of the Dunes. Pretty easy jobs and I would be a GS 4. Just for the summer which is what I wanted anyway. Only thing is I currently have a job that makes $9 and hour and I am getting a raise but I still do not know how much it will be. The coast job would have cheap housing even. Currently I son't have to pay room and board at my parents. Also all of my family and friends are in the valley including my best friend. Oh and did I mention how many days of surf I got last summer 0 that's right because I had 2 jobs and I was working 7 days a week. Well I will see how the phone interview goes.

I think I will probably take it is I get it. The phone interview went well but I do not find out until the 23rd whether or not I get it. The housing is in Waldport so that would not be to bad. I even made it throught the interview without evne hinting at surfing because they ask questions like why you would want to work there. We will see though. The other position is at the dunes and I am not an OHV fan so that was not an option.
My nametag for this summer came the other day at work I had not known they ordered it so I may never get to wear it is I quit. Funny how that works.

It was all sounding great until the knocked up part. I will be living in a boardig house with 3 other employees if I get the job. Fun fun fun. Nothing like living with people you don't know. They are checking my references today so we will see. My current boss was going to make sure to tell them what they wanted to hear.

It is worth blowing whoever you have to to live on the coast. No wait...living on the coast sucks.

You'll get it, they are always looking for people as most students are hesitant about moving to the boring coast for some of the same reasons you stated above. It's a good job and I know this from experience. After all I worked there for 2 years and I am pretty sure, the only surfer to do so. If you get it, someone will probably mention "oh yeah that guy who surfed". And you probably wont surf everyday though, after all it's the Oregon Coast.

Get your foot in the door however you can GS-4 isn't bad, consider it a platform for networking. Besides, think of all the money you'll save in gas.
