The Pumphouse Gang. Once again I am reminded I hate Tom Wolff's writing style even though I enjoy some of his observations.

Also reading Unspeak. Great look at how people twist the language.

'No country For Old Men.' Usually I see film and book versions as seperate entities but I totally ruined this one by seeing the flick first. Still any Cormac McCarthy is required reading in my book.

Richard Morgan books - starting with Altered Carbon and then the next two in a three book series, Broken Angels and Woken Furies..butt kicking, gritty future fiction with a lot of wallop.

incorrect:
the house is a couple miles up the siuslaw river.

also incorrect:
"me to">should be spelled "me too". that's two o's. to, too and two. three different words.

the first is very forgivable, but the second error...please.

i am wrong.
my sincere apology to speelyi. he is correct. the house IS up the siletz.

and, i apologize to the lovely betty. whereas the spelling she used to make her statement WAS incorrect, my approach to correcting her was a bit abrasive. she ordinarily is quite articulate and the slight error is easily forgivable.

Saw the house when I was on a kayak trip pretty cool and if I remember right it was the one that has a couple of dogs that get all excited when you paddle by.
