So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?

yuppies and kiters

Postby nativerush » Sat Jul 29, 2006 6:02 pm

I have to admit most of the surfers I see at the cove are straight up yuppies and frat boys. Same goes for Oswald.
The kiters wear board shorts over their suits cuz they say the waist harness pulls up on their suit so it squeezes around their balls and they don't want to look like gay ballarinas. I thought it was stupid too till I talked to one. Makes sense.
I think that kiting used to be expensive but these guys last week told me you can get all the gear for under $600 now. Surfing is just as expensive and most people have 3 boards if they surf regularly.

I forgot to mention that I'm a yuppy, too. I'm starting to understand why I can't surf worth a damn.

I am not a hippy. I think a more appropriate term for me would be a yudneck or a yupneck.

never met a kiteboarder, but money changes a person right?, so it only makes sense if you can afford that stuff....

I'm only racist against stupid people!

Hands down, my favorite poster of all time here on the OSP. The brilliance continues to blind me after all these years.

Why would the Russians have a special word for someone who leaves Mexico for a better life? I don't know, but I love it's implications!
