I hate doors and door knobs. I was going to say ask speelyei when i was reading your post but he beat me to it.
i just installed a door knob and another lock thingy and it went way too smoothly. i've put doors and knobs in before and they were
a little piece of hell
making the right cut's the first time seems to be important. I used a spade/paddle bit and a chisel for the recesses for the strike plates(?)
youtube is a good resource to see how others do stuff like this

I love the chisel...
Especially once they are dull and rusty...
They are even better if they have been left outside in the rain for a season ot two...
A putty knife that was never cleaned of adhesive is another tool that is exemplary for pissing you off...
Hammers that are improperly attached to the handle are good...
Not predrilling holes is a good call too...
That way either you can strip out the bit...
Get stuck witha 1/4 inch to go...
Or split the wood irreparably...
All good.
I could go on...
Welcome to the joys of homownership...
You have much frustration ahead.

The door kit will cost $20, comes with the lock template and hinge/lock guide and router bit. I installed one panel and decided to just put in prehung doors for the remaining 5.

old news
http://bikeportland.org/photos/photo/2578881641/Stumptown-Joustdown-32jpg.html
but yeah the hipsters foresaw that hurdle and conducted a preemptive pre-ironic strike.
nothing is more core than rollerblading right now. nothing. not skateboarding. not fixed gears. certainly not surfing. if you are a grown @ss man on rollerblades in 2008, you are one dedicated motherf*cker and my hat goes off to you. and i mean that with all sincerity.
skateboarders kicking rollerbladers out of parks = weak. skateboarding has become a self-entitled refuge for cry babies. death to skateboarding!
if you own a skateboard give me a call once you have the gonads to participate in something real, relevant and cutting edge ie rollerblading or better yet, snakeboarding until then... i don't like you.

Well I've spent the last 24 hours trying to work out what will replace skateboarding in my life and I think I've found it:
HEELYS
So rad. You can be all comando. Noone knows you are a secret wheeled urban warrior. You could be on your way to a lunch meeting with your office co-workers, talking shop and suddenly, just f*cking bust out, all cRaZy!!!!!!!
Handrail! POW!

Trying to impress my friend and riding my bike (I mean pair of Heelys) straight into a fence. Totalling my beloved Steamroller (heelys). Wrecking my knee, gouging my thigh and having to limp home. I am pretty stoked that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. But a new fork (Pair of Heelys) is going to set me back a bit.

Its OK Dub I can take it. No need to delete your post.
It was more about my friend's sexy thighs distracting me than being unable to control a fixed-wheel bike.

Sometimes I wonder but glad you took as a joke. It's hard not to give ya chit for riding a fixed gear bike. Sorry.
