price of beer.

we were warned.
i told the people at the store.
and those in the street.
but paying more for beer
for all those reasons
was unimaginable.
and horrible.
but i believed it.
but not enough
to stock the shithouse.
and so.
the cars are running on fumes.
and, beers are hidden in the back of the fridge.
come and try to pry it from
my cold dead fingers.
i fukn dare you.

coronas for breakfast, lunch, and before dinner all summer. always with lime. then a nice little rain. as the clouds gathered i finished off the opened/flat arrogant bastard in the back of the fridge, and as evening settled in, a cold sheaf sent me off to dreamland (not a skatepark).
bastards are up to five bucks still, but sheafs still haven't topped three.

*you know how to make budweiser?

Somehow been drinking a lot of Twilight lately, kind of growing on me. Otherwise, since its summer coronas are a staple.

i used to like chocolate milk, but here's some disturbing facts you won't want to read if you still want to like it:

nestle and hershey both acquire their chocolate from regions that have devastated their land in order to instead plant and grow cocoa. and that's fine, but, they also pruchase their cocoa from farms which use child slaves to pick the beans. yep. CHILD SLAVES.

but if you're okay with that, then here's more:
the chocolate milk you buy already mixed and ready to slam on a hot summer's day (also the delicious and sugary strawberry option) is actually BLOOD MILK. that's right. it's milk that was aquired at lower prices because it's kinda hard to sell milk that has a little discoloration because it has BLOOD in it. so, they do the smart thing, and go ahead and make it brown or pink and call it chocolate or strawberry.

enjoy!

*beer (and other spirits of course) contains alcohol which readily kills most bacteria.

Ya, and all the land and resources set aside to grow barley and hops could have been used to grow crops with nutritional value to feed hungry people
