skipping the Halloween party proved well worth while. I got my tricks and treats in the morning. It was sunny, light off-shores, double overhead...you know how this story goes.

Was alright before the tide flooded. Only downside was the kooks that just sit in the way all the time. And what is it with people always having to paddle together on a wave. Give someone the benefit of the doubt and just let them take a wave without you pushing over the lip.
Glad Im out of here in couple weeks.

surfed yesterday and today.

yesterday: surfed my favorite wave in the state with a small pack of nice dudes. fun, fast, hh. stoked.

today: surfed you know where bright and early. had some fun lefts in the middle before the tide bogged it all down.

all in all a phenomenal start to the month!

really good at a spot I've checked a few times but always passed on...until now. Tide and wind were working together to set up some beautiful almond eyes I just couldn't get enough of.

...downside was the kooks that just sit in the way all the time.

I thought I got out pretty quick after you got out...sorry.

Not that I was there.

I surfed recently...
Don't recall exact time or place...
Watched a beach break peak...
Being dominated by Neck Deep...
But needed better access...
To a toilet, shower and beer...
So headed to the north...
Surfed a fun chest high peak...
Mostly lefts and alone...
Then moved north...
To join the fracas...
Soft lined up fun rights...
With an occassional left...
May have seen...
Gaz, brdsurf, Neck and others...
I love longboard waves...
Especially when people around me...
Insist on shortboards.

Racy rights. Wave after wave after wave. Beautifully glassy most of the session. Missed the beer, hot shower and the 10'6" skipper but that's the price one pays for solitude and shortboardable waves.

Might have seen Doc later on. Might have seen Gaz cruising through a few.

well...some of us have kids to feed, so we missed the high tide...which had to be better...and took what we...i mean i...could get. closed out headhighs with about a zillion sealions barking at me. kinda felt like real life. best wave was a bellyride into tube/closeout. onto the beach in the dark. oh well. life is beautiful anyway. i was once a jobless blissedout surf bum. it was good too. ya'll reap the rewards. looks like winter's coming to say hello.
