Good weekend, even without surf.
Friday evening I went shooting, and was very pleased. First round hits and solid data at 200 yds, 350 yds, and 920yds.
Then we had an excellent day of hunting Saturday, even though I came home empty handed. 12.5 miles, 17 hour day, in rubber boots. About an hour of hellish bushwhacking, but mostly walking closed gravel roads. A few little bear tracks, pushed around a group of elk, ran into the same group three times. I saw several woodpeckers, watched a hawk hunt a clearcut for an hour, saw some ducks, a giant pacific salamander, a beaver, all sorts of rodents and squirrels, and a bunch of frogs. Got rained on pretty hard at the end, walked out six miles in army rain ponchos. Dutchy-B's on the way in at 5am and on the way out at 9pm, gotta love those hours, and the Barista chickies in Florence are heart-breakingly cute.
Sunday I checked the waves (messy) went home and cleaned my house, played some Fallout 3, mowed the lawn, cooked some crock-pot pulled-pork barbeque, and watched a Jim Jarmusch movie. PM surf check revealed same mess as in the am, conked out at 8:30.

Pretty sweet Speelyei...

You know gobblers start later this week...

Stoked about my new PSE bow.
However after managing to lose an arrow on my first shot and later smacking a round into the heat pump thing, I moved my target into the garage where the worst damage I can do s hit the freezer, the fridge, or plug the garage door.

Finally got my grouping down in the garage range.
Wife was unimpressed.

Speelyei...920 yards?!?! Sick.

Getting rid of some of my 100% gravel yard. Planted some tomatoes, herbs, and flowers. I am ready for Summer. Saw the most beautiful sunset I have seen in a while last night at work and got the base layer for my summer tan before. Spring is here.

Oh and working for the Man for a year now. Nothing like a pay raise to make me happy even if the sun is not out. Woohoo for being able to afford to live now.

Apparently I am stoked a lot lately.

-My taxes are done. I get a nice Fed return but only $10 from state at least I don't have to pay though.
-US Standard Issue by Oakley. Feeling the love from Oakley. About half off their retail price though a limited selection the items are specifically designed for SI. My next workboots are definitly gonna be Oakleys. Sometimes my job has perks.
-The sun was out today and got to open the windows and spend some time outdoors.
