I had a motorist open his door on me in the bike lane while going up Broadway to PSU back in 2003. I creased his door all the way to the panel above his front tire. I was only doing about 18mph. Bike lanes are never a guarantee of safety. I got an ambulance ride back to Emanuel for my troubles.
