New gun

Traded in my Springfield XDm 3.8 .40 cal for a new XDs 4.0 9mm with K-Rounds holster.
Love it. Shoots way straighter than the .40. Easier to carry concealed too.

Still gun free in my house....
Went camping with some dudes a few weekends ago...they are both preparing for an apocalypse or a massive earthquake. One of my buddies literally carries silver and gold in his ride so that when the paper currency becomes worthless, he will have something to trade.

I am so unprepared for shite actually going down. Maybe a hunting rifle....who knows.

Bullets, water, food, fire makers will all be of higher value currency than silver or gold during the apocalypse. Especially bullets.

I hope they are in a very well sealed container. Garages can be bad places for ammo if they are humid like it can get up here. $15k is a lot of ammo. Which reminds me, I need to get some new 30-06 rounds.

Dry as hell in there...attached to the house and even in the locked container, the ammo was then in separate boxes. Good call though on keeping it all dry.
