Just spent 4 days on the Egekik River in Alaska fishing silver salmon. Caught 30-90 a day on a fly rod and also regular tackle.
Fought off the brown bears, wolves and red fox to bring home about 50lbs of vacuum sealed fillets.

That's awesome. I was surprised when I went to Sitka on business and they had a surf shop!
I mean, they do have nearby open water and a lot of islands, but totally unexpected.

I'm thinking about trying my luck at smoking a bunch of the fish this weekend. I have a Big Chief front loading cold smoker and I've been smoking just about all my meats. Love the thing.

Well I did it, smoked a gallon ziplock bag worth over the weekend. It's Thursday now and I have like one good piece left. Amazing how people come out of the woodwork for that stuff.

Haha, same here. Stoked on the state of herb these days. Dispensaries are booming and it pisses off our current DOJ like none other.

I have been working in the cannabis sector for a couple of years now. Turns out indoor cannabis production takes a ton of energy. We launched a non profit organization to deliver energy and water efficiency to this newly legalized industry.

Personally I like weed better when it was illegal. So many tools and so much money moving here to capitalize on the situation. Southern Oregon is on the verge of being ruined on some levels IMO. Looking forward to see what happens when the fed legalizes it and the black market dies. What are all the flat billing gansta Cali wanna bes going to do then?
