Please........allow me to translate into tech talk.......

1/4 mile crawl or freestyle.
= 440 yds or roughly 405 mtrs.
1/2 mile, butterfly down, backstroke back, breath stroke down, crawl back. Repeat for 36 laps in olympic pool.
Not sure about your math on this one gills.........an "olympic pool" is 50 meters and I'm going to assume that by using the word "laps" you actually mean "lengths". Still...........36 lengths in an olympic pool is 1800 meters........a little more than a mile.
= 1 mile IM (I'm tired just thinking about it....)

1/4 mile flippers and kickboard.
= 440 yds (or 405 mtrs) kick with zoomers
If I go farther , I mix it up and then get goofy with flippers diving and getting rings of the bottom of the pool. WOrks well.
This part I like. I try to finish off my workout with swimming lengths of the pool underwater. As a kid I could make 100 yds no problem. These days.........I'm lucky if I can make 50 meters.

Funny thing is, if I don't swim, I can't freaking surf to save my life. But even after two weeks of solid pool time, I'm much, much more confident in the lineup.
Me too!
