This thread is making hot.

So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway?

I didn't have a digital camera at the time
so I couldn't share pics till they were scanned.

I'm in the process of converting them to Jpeg.

The trip was a whole lotta fun.
These pictures are from the first day which was the most crowded day.
I believe there were four people in the water when I paddled out.

Blue and White, actually a funny story behind that rental car on Tutuilla.

In the Samoan culture they have a sense that most things are to be shared by everyone. If someone has something you don't and you need it, then you borrow or use it and it is to be expected. This is understood in Samoa. In Hawaii I remember Samoans getting in to some trouble because of this. They were borrowing but others considered it stealing.

Anyway, the little guy on the left there (can't remember his name.) We became friends in the few days I was surfing out in front of his village. On the last day I surfed there, he hung out while I waxed up. I surfed for a couple of hours. I came back in and he had gone home. I noticed something different in the car (I think it was the seat moved forward or something.) That night I was looking at the pictures on my digital camera and found a picture of him, that he had taken of himself in my car with my headphones on listening to my CD player. Nothing was missing from the car and he had just borrowed my stuff for a little while.

Some of by boys from Maui and Oahu were over there the last few weeks. Did you run across a pack of Hawaiians in a fast boat?

There were quite a few boats out there. Were they on a sailboat skippered by an aussie named Carrick by chance? We did see Curren, Occy, Bethany Hamilton and I saw Mick Fanning bag a serious barrelling monster at Rifles.
