What are you listening to right now?

Yes, this is a surfpage, but many of us like to discuss non-surf related issues amongst fellow surfers. Here's the place to do it. Registration is required.

Andy - I just got it and have only listened to it a few times, so this is an early take, but so far I think it compares quite favorably to Alter. You named 3 of my all time favorite songs of theirs, and this album seems to have some of the creativity of songs like Diamond and Hollywood, while retaining the heavy edge that makes them Floater. The guitar work is really interesting and all over the map stylistically (blues, reggae etc.), and Wynaldas lyrics are poignant and haunting as ever (he seems to be trying some new stuff with his voice as well) and his bass continues to hammer. Id say get it if you are a Floater fan.

Ahhhhh choking on dust on a Mexican bus ahh! 8)

preview 2 of the new songs on their myspace page:

Im really liking weightless..

EDIT: - the more I listen to this album, the more i like it. It's a keeper

"The fastest runner sets the pace..
..in America
Then watches money win the race..
..in America
And they put greatness in your head..
..in America
Then beat you blue and red..
..just like in America!"

Banned in PC

Banned in PC with a thousand more places to go.
Gonna swim across the Pacific, cause that's the only place I can go.

You, you can't hurt me, me I'm banned in PC

PC

We, we got ourselves, gonna sing it, gonna love it, gonna work it out to any length.
Don't worry, no worry, about what people say.
We got ourselves, we gonna make it anyway.

You, you can't hurt me, why I'm banned in PC

PC.

And if you ban us from your waves, it's the right time, with the right mind.
And if you think we really care, you won't find in my mind.
Ooh! Ooh! You can't afford, to close your doors, so soon no more.
