No

Unless they were kids...

My kids ride boogie boards and I hardly vibe 'em at all...

Maybe it is dumb, but its real. Spongers are in the way where I surf, they make no attempt not to be. They dont do justice to good waves.
Im not like intrepid the un-eletist who gladly takes a bonable boogieboarder to a popular spot. If you are not an eletist then A) you would not have to only surf at popular spots and 2) you would not have to sink so low as humping spongers.

i just see em as a non issue. theyre never in the same spot as i am, never in large enough numbers to pay attention to. usually theyre mellow and friendly, and if not... it's like worrying about the dog that runs out and snaps at your tires as you drive by.

They are a non issue where I surf to. Thats why I told homeslice I would not bring him with me, to keep it that way. Yakkers....thats another story, those guys almost kill me (or I them) almost everytime I surf S*** river mouth.

I guess my question was more "would you bring them with you and surf with them"..... but since its dumb, continue with the fables lies and fake orgasms.

Id bring 'em to selected areas, same as everybody else, and be in the water with them, yes.

I would bring guppy. But I would also provide him one of those airline barf bags.

I have to agree that almost all boogers that I have seen do the waves no justice.

sorry, that is just a reality.

I saw one, ONE, in all my years completely kill it at Barview once.

that's it.

I remember that day at Barview. We ate pig that night. Dry roasted with a belly full of pineapple. Sides included southern coleslaw and BBQ beans. Washed down with many oregon microbrews. But I digress, truly impressive. I am surprised that guy didn't destroy his ribs with the aerial stunts he pulled.

That....was truly core!TM.

I think the booger was actually trying to run from a sealion and just got lucky.

I can't believe you just mentioned that spot. There is one particular local there that will kick both your a$$es for mentioning it, and in the meantime will continue being the jerk that he is just because he is warming up for the chance that he might someday have to kick your a$$es.

And I thought you said "bodyboarder", not boogieboarder. Haven't we all done some bodysurfing?

Are either one surfing? Im a surfer. Anything you do on your belly with fins, is not surfing.

Haven't we all done some bodysurfing?

No.

Do you come off as a know it all in person as well or is that just your online persona? Oh yeah, thats right....your 'funny'.

So, Honey,,,,
are you back out in the water yet?

If so then you should be stoked. Stoked that you have another chance at it. Granted not any one of us can make a judgement about what this person is like and all, but it seems awfully selfish to ask such a question. Just as your ride was nearly cut off forever, who knows, his might also someday. Maybe tomorrow, maybe never. You dont have to take him to the secret spots. Maybe enlighten him on the surf etiquette even. But to say no because he rides differently than you?

If you are not back in the water, well look at this person as just that: a person. It doesnt matter what they ride, long board, shortboard, bodyboard, well, maybe yakers,,, either way, there are idiots in each of those groups that will get in the way, run people over, tell everyone they know and so forth.

Is it the stand up part of surfing that heals you, gives you the stoke, the smile or whatever or is it just being in the water.......

As a member of the upright surfing elite, I can honestly say that any wave riding done standing, prone or kneeling is just fine as long as common courtesy is maintained. To say that someone is wasting waves just cuz they ride them different or not as good as you ain't cool.

surf vs. BB
LB vs. SB
experienced vs. kooks

it's all just snobbery.

If it's one thing I hate, it is people who are intolerant of how other people ride waves...and fu@kin' kayakers.

No sh!t.

This is one argument.....that is ever so tiresome.

As someone who hasn't been in the water in months...Honey....I would think any water time....be it standing up or laying down.....would be the cat's meow...right about now. But maybe not? If you were able to hit the surf today....but had to do it prone.....would you say "fuk no"?

"My way or no way"?

and this...
