With Gaz as the exception, Lappis probably surfs more (and better, but by who's standards?) then most of us.....and he is in highschool. So if his grammar sucks its because he drives 3 to 6 hours a couple times a week for a couple hours of surf, and blows off a little homework.

Nice breakdown of data holddown, very interesting to see how much a person who lives on the coast can surf in Oregon in a year. Out of curiosity did you happen to further breakdown the sessions by whether the conditions were good, fair or marginal? Like I said just curious because some people will still paddle out when the conditions are marginally surfable, especially considering how it can be in the summer months.

man I tried to compensate for the lack time in the bowl with time in the wood bowl. But after 1o minutes warming up on the street area and 2 rides upstairs I messed up a frugin frontside frugin pivot and tweaked my knee. Now I only hope that I'll be better by the time the ocean cleans up but it doesn't look good right now. Talk about insult and injury.

Most of these sessions are fair to good. I'm not as much of a snob as Gaz, but I usually won't go out unless there's at least the prospect of a clean face. I don't go out just to increase the numbers. If it's crappy, I'll just run or take a day off.

ha so funny story. Apparently my mom was in port angeles for some lawyer thing she does, and i saw her at the gas station.

But i called up daddy in seaside and he understood. He use to miss a lot cause he grew up in cruz.

One time at band camp......

No really, as a proud mother point of view, I have a story about this lappis kid. There were all these LB'rs out one day. You know how it gets, you all bring several options from your quiver but lack the personal experience or wave savvy to decide which board to paddle out, so you go with the crowd and most often end up really far outside on a longboard that took you 45 minutes to duckdive and position....So Lappis and a friend ride up in the lot, get out, check it for a second, dress down in record time, grab the shortboards and before you know it they are headed out where we all know its working but are to lazy to troll. They find the slot and with in minutes a set runs through. They pick the same wave, an a-frame and both grab it...one left one right. Synchronized. What happend after that was a magnificant blur.

Complete show up and disrespect for the old LB men lurking and bobbing and drifting .
