You gotta get a certain type... That is the only type that I've tried that stays on pretty good... I learned that from Auz... the warehouse in Auz sold these billabong kini's for $10 a pair and I just cleaned house... For 3 months (except for the first week), I pretty much wore a kini to surf everyday...
The top is a tie top both around the neck and on the back... I have several pairs of the same style but different pattern.. It has never come off on me... The bottoms are pretty good too but on a heavy duck dive, they tend to come off... and you really don't have time to fix them until you are out the back again... so basically, if you have to take a couple more on the head with the bottoms hanging on your ankles, you do so.. then just pull em up when you're safe again... From all the girls I've talked to in Mex and Auz, there really does not seem to be a way around that... It's just the way it is... One girl I hung out with said hers came right off, then she remembered she had a leash on and the board should stop it from going too far so when she made it out back, she just fished for it and put it back on...
