Pray to Saint Nicholas, Pete.
I here you on the thievery though, it is exciting....In college, I turned thievery into a sport.
We just to get a bunch of bad bottles of wine and walk around Missoula, MT. and steal light bulbs. Front porch light bulbs, garage light bulbs, security lights, etc... total and complete adrenaline rush without the guilt. You'd have to scale things, unscrew fixtures, all under the cover of night...squeaky porches, etc...we used to have competitions, pick routes, and then hike up the mountainside to see the path we 'blacked out'.
I did however get arrested doing this. And it was on a record take night-- 112 bulbs. I almost got away with it, but I stepped off a curb and I had a third of the loot in my backpack (my co-conspirators had the rest of the haul) which makes a distinct noise when they hit. The cops arrested myself and my friend. Others were hidden nearby. The cops took us back to the copshop and interrogated us. Both of us told the cops the same story and as much as they were trying to be serious they kept laughing. We were charged with 72 counts of petty theft. I had to appear in court. The judge was laughing. He gave me a suspended sentence but said that if anyone came forward about the bulbs, I'd have to pay restitution. No one came forward. AND I STRUCK AGAIN....
