What pisses me off...........

This forum is for SURF topics such as localism and rants that are usually negative in nature. If you're a baby, complainer, or generally think you're right and everyone else is wrong this is the place for you. PLEASE NOTE, all forum rules still apply, but just a little more liberally enforced. Registration is required.

A gang in La Jolla made up of four dudes? They surf, obviously the victim surfs, but it's not like this happened in the lineup. This was a bar fight. Everyone here surfs. Don't bring surfing into this.
Boardriding is about timing and style...It’s youthful, active, casual, and free flowing. There is no wrong way to ride a board. The goal is simply to learn, progress, improve, and give it your own interpretation.

I can just picture their Mom's reaction:
"oh those poor, poor boys! I knew I shouldn't let them watch those Tarantino films, but with daddy away on business and mumsy so busy, who knew what Esmeralda was letting them watch? Tisk, Tisk, I just hope this doesn't effect the resale of our flip, that would be a shame...

and to think those city attorneys are calling them a "gang", well, it just goes to show, if Mr. Levikow had what it takes, he would have a private practice, and not working for the D.A...."

this right here is the best:
“They weren’t gangsters,” says Richard Kenvin, 47, a filmmaker who grew up surfing Windansea. “They were gangsta chic.”

idiot.

Prosecute them to the fullest.
Multiple beat downs in prison and many anal rapes to come I would think.

I think you missed the inherent sarcasm Spee, Kenvin is a class act, he's not being flip with that remark.

hmmm, the way the article was written, it was posed as if Mr Kenvin was implying that they should not be tried under the tougher gang-response laws because they were wanna-be's.

Emery was from Kauai.
Anahola to be exact.
The same tiny town where I live.
This rocked the island for sure-as he was well known and liked.
I was there for the paddle out they had here.

This was a HUGE deal around here- and still is.
Emery ripped. He was known as the "flyin' Kauaian".

When I was in Dago a while back, I met up with some of his friends who are also Kauai boys. They were still pretty tore up and pissed off...
Such a f[]kt-up deal.

dog broke his e-collar (is the lampshade like thing he needs to wear in order to keep him from undoing his stitches.)
he had to have a second surgery last week and will be banging into doors etc for yet another week.

his e-collar is now taped together till the store opens. he looks like a nerd with taped glasses.
