I know where you're coming from Spidermama, and I agree to a point, but its a pretty broad statement. I know some pretty decent hard working men and I have met some woman who expect ease to be handed to them because they are a woman working in a so called 'male field'. In my line of work I have spent plenty of time in shipyards, marine construction sites and oil platforms which you would expect to be male dominated, and a decade ago you would have been right. But these days men and woman alike are greased up from the street up, bare knuckles, rubbing elbos. A roughneck is a roughneck and it comes with age and experience these days and really is not biased by whether or not you have a wang. In my last post I mentioned people coming into a workplace expecting to get the cush work along side the old boys (and girls)...its really not a comment pointed at woman. It goes for anyone. You earn your respect or you expect it outright and in turn are given grunt work and treated like crap until you cant handle it any longer and quit... Dont let the knob hit that self righteous asss on the way out
The service here sucks.

I hear its a big prob nowadays for men and women just coming out of college. A lot of kids are spoiled thier whole lives and when they get that degree they expect top dollar right out. forget spending a month in the warehouse just to teach you how the bottom rung works before entering the office! They want company cars, cell phones provided, take home laptops, bitches..

OK I made up that last one... maybe. But, you get the idea.

I love getting my hands dirty though, office work can suck a holy D.

BS.

Not accurate at all.

And also...who says women have to work 10 times harder than men?

In my world...it is certainly not true.

Maybe women just whine more about having to work than men do?

Just thinking....

Not everyone gets to win.

And you cannot legislate the idea that everyone gets a trophy.

In life there are winners, and there are losers, and in most cases, the cause of each is the same.

But there is something to be said for good sportsmanship

You won. You're a winner.

Isn't that enough. There's no need to kick someone when their down.

Besides, a well placed up-kick can do as much damage as a roundhouse, any-day

My point was that I have been willing to clean toilets and all the other jobs that they have asked me to do. But they have a tendency to ask boys who are less qualified than me to do maintenance tasks over me and then they turn around and whine that I don't have enough experience. Well I have driven tractors just not for them. I was just ticked that they did not read my resume or they would have known that I know how to do more than they think I do. Did I mention I have an interview Tuesday? First girl to interview for than position ever. I do get paid more though than many of the people that clean toilets and run weedeaters and lawnmowers but then again I have a lot more that I do on the side.

Betty my problem is I am to nice and go along with things instead of standing up for myself. I think it is a common thing for most women though.

Standing up for yourself is great. I think women are more inclined to think of ways to sue nowadays though.

Not just a common thing for women...I think for people in general.

The most common mistake women make is falling for a guy and then 10 years later wondering why he is such a dickhead.

Answer?

He was a dickhead when you met him.

Yeah whatever happened to the days of you and your spouse made fun of fat people and drinking a lot of beer worryfree? Well, you stayed that way, but you both got fat, she stopped drinking (thinks you have to as well), cut all her hair off and now looks like a guy, dresses like a tomboy becuase "it's just easier" and starts spouting crap she heard on Oprah about how men and women need to be exactly the same... thus destroying any polarity between the sexes and forming what might as well be an a-sexual society where people would rather whack off than bang the boring, unkempt opposite sex that surrounds them.

Men have been demasculated, women have been masculated. And we wonder where all these gays are coming from? Maybe people nowadays just can't tell anymore who is what and cases of mistaken identity are on the rise!!! Come on! It's probably happened to all of us at least ONCE!

You will probably bring the condoms too.

Hey isn't Diversity some old ship they crossed the Atlantic with?

Anyways I'm not sure where your coming from unless it's cluelessville becuase I'm not attacking homosexuals in any way... I'm just saying a lot of women out there have made it hard to tell whos male and who's female and naturally - that can lead to some awkward situations.

What I am saying however, is that women had to have thier big movement for equality, which I have no problem with. It had it's time. But nowadays it seems like a lot of girls try so hard to make all the men around them more "sensitive and caring" and feel we should think more like they do. But now that a huge portion of America's men have become this way (puss-itized so to speak) the women ask "where did all the manly-men go?" and "Why can't I find a guy who will sand up for me or even himself?" how about "Why does he cry so much?"

You get the drift.

Have a goodun
