Having the plumber come by and root out my rusty waste line this morning. Ah, the joys of flushing waste.

Looks like it is going to be a good weekend. The ranger is gone and I am in charge. Last time they will ever leave a girl in charge at this rate. We are already full and it is only Wednesday so it should be a zoo by tomorrow night.

So tell me.....what gets a camper booted?

I once made the mistake of pulling into Bullfrog Marina to camp for the night after a week of solitude exploring Capitol Reef. Only time I wished I'd had a gun with me and that it was open season on idiots. Wait....that's a different thread...

Limit is 2 weeks right?

Better keep that place clean and sanitized for the middle class families who have it booked for this weekend.

My favorite fellow campers are in half million dollar motorhomes with a 4WD hooked up behind. The campground sets aside the best view sites for them and they show their appreciation by running their generators 18+ hours per day.

Maybe you could kick out a few of them while you're all powered up?

Are campers still considered homeless if their 'home' gets 5 miles to the gallon?

Oops, wrong thread??

Trula, A lot of churches have funds available to assist homeless or 'between home' families with camping funds while they are in transition. Thats how a lot of them 'afford' it. My momma has worked for the state parks here for nearly 30 years so we have had first hand experience with getting to watch the gung-ho power trip park staff give the people the boot when the 2 weeks comes up and the family still has not saved enough for a down payment on a place. Nothing like a low income family down on there luck to make you feel like a supreme being huh?!! You would make a good ranger.
The service here sucks.

Trula, be careful, or one day your gonna make ranger.....not so good.
my personal experience with rangers aka "the tool" has mostly revolved around the extended winter stay in Joshua Tree National Park. although not the brightest and usually pear-shaped, they are very persistent and sour the best of mornings with an early arrival and horseshiet lectures that center around the most chickenshiet and inane points. with many an a-hole and their military grade generators parked next to me......who is the real problem?!! i know that at least a few of my tax dollars (more like the change) goes to the Parks Department, so if there's plenty of room for all to enjoy.......

HEY!!! what's your problem bud!

Spicoli.....you've always got the answer.
