What pisses me off...........

This forum is for SURF topics such as localism and rants that are usually negative in nature. If you're a baby, complainer, or generally think you're right and everyone else is wrong this is the place for you. PLEASE NOTE, all forum rules still apply, but just a little more liberally enforced. Registration is required.

a power outage on my street as I was watching "Boogie Nights" this morning. I saw it in the theatre when it came out close to 10 years ago...I forgot how many great actors are in that film. Don Cheadle as the country and western loving stereo salesman comes to mind.

Hunting anywhere within an hour of Portland on a weekend.

Man...what a joke.

Saw one truck with 5 people in the back of it.

Really?

Wow.

Yep. All open.

Except for one.

I was glad that this particular gate was still closed.

You see I missed a very healthy buck there on the last day of the season last year.

A record type Blacktail.

Theoretically he is still out there.

He has haunted me for almost a year now.

I like to think he is still there......

Just need to do more walking to get to him.

And walking, is something most of these yahoos don't bother doing.

Take a topo map. Draw a highlighted line 1/4 mile on either side of the roads.

Anything outside of that highlight is prime hunting area as you leave 90% of the people behind.

And don't hunt on weekends unless you have to.

Not one thing...

Except for:
My 401k
The mess in the basement
The hedge in my yard
Cobblestones on my shin

Other than that...

Not one thing.
