What pisses me off...........

This forum is for SURF topics such as localism and rants that are usually negative in nature. If you're a baby, complainer, or generally think you're right and everyone else is wrong this is the place for you. PLEASE NOTE, all forum rules still apply, but just a little more liberally enforced. Registration is required.

Stupid yurts are all booked. I don't mind the cold but I need a place where I can do homework. Now I'll only have time to surf one day.

The BART police are real police officers, and not just transit security. They have both a handgun as well as a taser, more than likely holstered on opposite sides. Possibly the cop was caught up in the moment and grabbed his gun and reacted, thinking it was his taser?? Him putting his hands up to his head at the end of one of those vids like "What the F did I do?" is what makes me wonder..

Wouldent sweat it. Surf may and prob wont cooperate both days anyway. Not to mention the poo factor. Next week looks better anyway.

Those yurts are ridiculosly hard to get. Get a van.

Or try the Bunkhouse. Pretty good deal.

And watch out for the ice. Good luck.

After a year, I got a longboard.
I got a new wetsuit,
and new booties,
and a new rashguard with a hood to keep my bald head warm.

then I got the flu.

as I lay there sick, work started to stack up. work that I needed desperately.

it got small and glassy and the period was double the swell,
and I worked.

I worked at my regular jobs, and I worked on my days off.

tonight, it still looked small and clean and surfable, and I raced home.

I changed into my wetsuit, kissed my wife (who is now sick) and put my new-to-me longboard in the back of the truck. It was 5:10pm.

My truck has a chip-box with swinging doors on the back. I failed to latch the drivers side door. I went around one of the two turns on the way to the beach, and the door swung shut and smashed the rail on the tail into pulp. A four or five inch long section of shattered, missing glass and crushed foam, right where the rail feathers down about 2" forward of the stringer. And I've never even set foot on it.

This pisses me off.
