Being stuck doing nothing at work all day with only internet access to email. No Facebook, OSP, or even my Gmail's chat. I have now cleaned out all my email boxes and still have 2 weeks left to kill. The most productive thing I did all day was make a spreadsheet which I was not even supposed to do since I have not gone to academy. At least I am getting paid.

trula. i'm concerned. you've been posting more in the pist off thread than ever. and mostly about your job. that's okay. you need to vent. but maybe it's not really what your heart is telling you. listen sister. listen. can you hear what it is saying?

maybe you're not cut out for this job? why do you need that power? why do you want to be put in that position? is it worth it? is it right?
maybe it's more right than the dude with the prius and the knitting and squabbling over camera lenses and which republican senator is best. but still, maybe this is not right either.

or, maybe it is right. make the spraedsheet. let the guys hit on you at the watercooler. you're beautiful and you know it. embrace your feminine mystique. bring them to their knees.

listen. think. act.

Where many dog walks/surf sessions and late night sexual liasons have taken place. Now, deemed to go away. That's what we get for enjoying the last piece of barren land on the SD coastline..

Boardriding is about timing and style...It’s youthful, active, casual, and free flowing. There is no wrong way to ride a board. The goal is simply to learn, progress, improve, and give it your own interpretation.

This has been going on forever, and will continue seemingly forever. In my 8 years there (I lived off Jupiter a couple blocks south in Leucadia) the entire campground stretch went from being nothing but a campground and a highway, with brush to the east of the highway where you parked when you surfed, to the sh1tty sea of homogeneous mcmansions with no parking and bitchy homeowners that you see now. I have friends who grew up riding dirtbikes all over that area who now cant find parking to surf (one can only imagine what it was like in Docs heyday). It's only a matter of time before Ponto is finally swallowed up. It's a HUGE bummer.

Snow2, it sounds like the longer you are there, the more interested you are in the never ending change. Get involved! A place to start is my friend JP's blog:

my friend Ed's is pretty cool to, but its just about surf:

Mahalo on the info Dano! That blog if overflowing with info; that guy's been doing his homework. Amazing what's going down on a mere few miles of Hwy 101. I'll keep an eye on the happenings in the area and if a hand can be dealt to help out, I'm there. How long ago did you live on Jupiter? I surfed Grandview almost daily for my first year down here..

I don't even want to THINK about the parking/access situation in the times to come

Old, Crotchity, loud-mouthed, disease-spreading, know-it-all, trailer-trash co-workers. Shutup stay home and stop spreading the flu around the office. Think Creed from The Office. This is why I will be working Cargo and not Passenger after training.

I wanted to rent a scary movie, and I am a big fan of the zombie genre. I am also a big puss, so I didn't want anything worse than 28 Days Later.

I rented "quarantine", and I specifically asked the owner of the rental shop "Does anything bad happen to any kids?" And he said "No."

Well, it does, and that pisses me off. The movie wasn't too good, it's like a combination of Night of the Living Dead, Blair Witch, and 28 Weeks Later.

blecchhh.

The stupid concert i went to last night.

Doobies and Allmans.

should have been damn good.

Sucked @ss.

It is hard to say which was more annoying to me.

the drunk girl who was not even alive when the doobies were good, behind me, half falling over me, and shrilling "I love you" every time the band stopped, and calling for "Black Water", presumably because it was the only song she knew. Or the way the Doobies opened for the Almans and their sound sucked.

Maybe it was the ancient (read - older than Gaz) couple next to me who were about to stroke out as they bitched in between each song.

Possibly it was the horrible smell of pot being flagrantly smoked all over the place and knowing that if I lit a cig I would have been pummeled in three seconds flat.

Maybe it was the asshats who took over the seats vacated by the old couple and the drunk girls after the Doobies had left who obviously did not pay to be in that section the way I did and who should have gone back to their cheap seats with their horrid pot smoke, obnoxious armadillo calls, and outlandish grateful Dead-esque dancing and annoying-as-f@#K air guitar solos.

hey jerk off....there are two outstanding guitar players on stage..trust me..they do not need your stoned-@ss help you freakin moron. Sit down and extinguish that foul smelling joint or go back to the cheap seats!

then there was the 55 year old controller of some deadend.com high fiving his buddies as they sloshed their beer over some ones grandparents or other has-been.

Or maybe it was the way that bands patronize us and change the lyrics to include the name of the town we are in and even worse, the way the drunk and stoned tools respond to it.

"Portland moon won't you keep on shining on me"

Go f@#K yourselves. shut up and sing the songs they were meant to be sang.

And all you asshats in the audience...you are not cool because they mentioned your town name. They are basically treating you like morons.

Belgium moon won't you keep on shining on me...

f@#K off.

I hate hippies, pot, geezers acting like they are 25, cheap seaters, drunk girls, and now the Doobies and the Allman Brothers.
