Lost at Sea, early 90's ...lost trip to indo....prettty good, one scene in particular where about 6 guys are surfing a perfect giant rt with out editing for 15 minutes..pretty nuts...other wise not a must see
A buddy sent me a bunch of old lost vids the other day, brings back lots of memories.
The Decline is my favorite. The scene with Slater surfing Rincon to the tune I have quoted below is friken rad.
I'd like to see the new one, 5 11 redux.

Choke. Movie based on a book by Chuck Palnhiuk (sp?). Sam Rockwell was in it so I netflixed it. Movie was so-so. Nothing special but not bad either.

I've watched a bunch lately... My faves:
The Pursuit, good mix of surfers and action... I liked it.
Busting Down the Door.... One of my faves of all time great footage and history.
Young Guns 3... Insane surfing by those spoiled little bastards..
The Occumentary... Best intro to a surf movie. Period.
Non Surf:
Slum Dog, Great movie, loved it.
Transsiberian: Pretty good haad me guessing for quite a while.
Australia: Not only no surf but fairly cheesy epic as well. Really good filming and use of colour though.
Role Models: Cheesy but better than I expected really f'n funny.
Incredile Hulk/; Huge upgrade on the other Hulk remake by Ang Lee. That said not as good as the Spider man movies and Iron Man.

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. Stupid but pretty funny. Prepare properly and you will enjoy it.

for all the hype at the local watercooler i thought "taken" was unrealistic, and fizzled out pretty bad. i give it only 2.5 stars. liam neeson is still pretty good though.

rented "Omega Man" and "The Quiet Earth". They were both dated, but good. Also rented Jarhead. It was good too.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Forester...or something like that. The movie was ok, moved really slow and I have seen a few westerns that were a lot better (unforgiven is classic). I think Brad Pitt may have been nominated for an Oscar for this role...I don't knwo why, Casey Afflack was way better and continues to prove that he can't really be full blood relations with that dick bag Ben.
