What pisses me off...........

This forum is for SURF topics such as localism and rants that are usually negative in nature. If you're a baby, complainer, or generally think you're right and everyone else is wrong this is the place for you. PLEASE NOTE, all forum rules still apply, but just a little more liberally enforced. Registration is required.

Ceedog is pissed off about:
Fever blisters from the sun. Anyone else have that issue?

I'm no doctor...
But my understanding is that these fever blisters...
Which is what my grandma called 'em...
Are herpes...
I think they are brought on by stress...
And a weakened immune system...
My advice...
And I'm no doctor...
Is think positive thoughts...
Drink lots of beer...
Rest afterwards...
Have lots of sex (stress relief)...
Rest afterwards...
Surf in the sun...
Rest afterwards...
With lots of beer and sex...
Rest afterwards.

long blonde haired surfers who pull up at the skatepark with a bunch of surfboards on the roof who make a point of letting you know they're surfers not skateboarders while cruising barefoot on their sector 9s - while your just trying to battle your early morning demons and schralp a few grinds.

actually, they don't really piss me off but they make me thankful i'm not a 'surfer.'

in response to c'dog's Q:

yes. coldsores/fever blisters/herpes.....same smell. been getting them my whole (28 years) life. brought on by stress, sun, weakened immune system (as pointed out by the good doc).

in fact....after having driven 2000+ miles in the last week & standing on a pool deck all weekend in 100+ temps....my mouth looks like i went a few rounds with tyson. ok...not a few rounds. one punch & i was out

swollen & blistered & hurts like a mothereffer.

Normally, I can feel them under the skin but they only usually bust if I put something on them. Last week I finally got some sunscreen lip balm because I felt one coming on and tried it out and within a few hours I had a full blown sore. If I would have ignored it it never woulda broke. I'll just make sure to use the lip sunscreen from now on.

F*CK Bank of America! I would advise everyone to avoid doing business with them. Go put your money in a local credit union instead.
