6) Paid $23 for the amoxocillin. Done. Sure, mine was a very simple case, but it was a hell of a lot smoother than doing same in states.

Wilbur, if you are going to be one of the conservative foot-draggers, you had better well have a different plan to get us there. Otherwise STFU and stop reiterating your FOX news drivel.
Did you ever stop to think that one of the reasons this country (meaning the states) is so damn screwed right now is exactly because there is no support for workers in the form of healthcare, pensions, and welfare (strong unions and anti globalization would help too)? You are right that it may come to gun-toting anarchy, but it's only because the gun toting morons like yourself did more than their fair share to drive us to that state.

Or so I am told.

Also, if you think this administration's approach to legislation is any different than those pf previous administrations, then you are wrong. The first year of any presidency involves introducing and passing a lot of legislation. Most bills are large and widely unread (hello, homeland security act). This doesn't make the process right, but it makes it non-unique and unblamable on Obama. This whole show of pretending that this many-paged bill is unique and dangerous for its size is more FOX news BS that's being used to scare people away from the idea of some kind of more universal healthcare
Finally, the thing I really don't understand about the conservative movement, no matter what form (rebub, libertarian, extreme leftism) is how it's static-to-regressive approach is relevant in a world that is neither static nor backward moving. Since every second of every day brings new things to the table, doesn't it make sense to approach them with new ideas? Sure, conservatism is useful for it's historical perspective. In that regard it's a very important part of any political machine, but it seems that progressive thought -- the idea of combining what we've learned from history with new approaches and ideas is a good way to address the nation's problems. What I often hear from conservatives is a desire to keep things as they are or an opposition against new ways of political thinking. But that's just me. I'm a scientist where forward propulsion is the name of the game. If you want to bury your guns, pay less taxes and ride your bike into the desert and pretend the US is the same nation it was 1day, 1year, 1 decade, or 1 century ago, fine. Go for it, but I'm doubtful that's going to help us out.
