What pisses me off...........

This forum is for SURF topics such as localism and rants that are usually negative in nature. If you're a baby, complainer, or generally think you're right and everyone else is wrong this is the place for you. PLEASE NOTE, all forum rules still apply, but just a little more liberally enforced. Registration is required.

police.

$287 ticket for barely, barely running a stop sign at an intersection with no traffic, no pedestrians, no annoying hipster cyclists, no skateboarders, no bums, NOBODY!

f**king irritates the sh!t outta me.

well, i guess that is why that huge red hexagon says STOP on it.

life goes on.

Actually I take that back. Portland’s OK and nice place to be. We have ivy leagues from all over the country banging on our door for jobs.

And where else can you take your baby or/and dog to a hop harvest fest and swill the freshest beer in the country?

Or buy a home in a west coast city that’s a 2 mile bike ride to work downtown in a hood with killer eats and drinks on every corner?

Or surf and snowboard in one day?

Sure the drive to the surf sucks and always will, but I can’t complain I've had my share and lived it extra large and been getting waves on a weekly basis. That’s about all I want to do that drive anyway. Yesterday was just a frustrating day at work and most of the time being in the water is the only way to clear my head. Now I just come home to my baby girl yelling DAADE and gives me a big @ss leg hug. Fuking clarity like no other brother. And from what I heard space was limited where and when I wanted to be. Besides were just getting started and my boss could sense my frustration and gave me the next 2 Fridays off, PAID nigga! On top of all the OT that’s stacking up that will fund several surf and snow trips locally and a mid winter warmish water surf excursion. So go ahead and get surfed out cause I’ll be in to get mine sooner or later. But now I'm getting into what gets me stoked and this is the worng thread for that.

Oh, but do tell, cause I hate it when someone doesn't tell all. Does it involve alcohol and cheerleaders?

Dude, you are teetering on the verge of full bi-polar status. Don't take it back, you'll be hatin' again in a week.

Mind keeping that to yourself? Portland's already on its way to ruin with more recent arrivees than natives these days. Sure, some are cool, but it's only a matter of time before the rich idiots force out the cultural core of the city and Portland starts to look a lot like blandcouver where 1.1million buys you a POS house in the boonies and beer costs $6 a pint. WTF.

it doesn't piss me off, but it bums me out..

Mrs Stiffler and I have met some really fun, interesting people here on the ol' OSP, and it's been a long time since I've seen any of you. hell, I haven't even seen Fossilgrom in months, and he's a fifteen minute drive.

Hope you're all doing well, new marriages, new babies, new boards and jobs and all that good stuff.
