Much smaller than expected, but chest high and clean, long rides. A big flood tide ruined it. I wish I had brought the fish. Snow flurries possible for dawn patrol tomorrow?

Much small than expected. Clear and cold with slight offshores. Frost on the sand. Chest to head high rights a few lefts mixed in. Small crowd early, got worse as the day wore on. Fun session overall even though my wave count wasn't that high. Wave quality a 6, my surfing 4.

Looks like a great next few days on tap if you can get over the 30' temps.

7 for 7... ordered a new suit from hotline today... a 6:5
this swell is too good to be sidelined for something as silly as being cold.

Watched the wind steadily increase all day before I could make it out. Still managed to find some long textured lefts. Longest rides in months with noone else out.

Took a beating getting out today. It got big over night. Lots of water moving. Got one, rode her all the way in. Sat on a log and chated with a guy who had taken a beating just before mine. He told me my head was bleeding. No big, musta got smacked by the board. Got dragged back out for one more by a friend, glad I did, got a few more but was glad to get back on the beach.

had to tell a local news guy with camera to kindly not mention the location of his filming. he was worried. apparently on his way out to film (perfect) surf, a crew of locals threatened to take out some aggression on his news rig. he seemed perplexed. i asked him if he had heard about the whole scene up north and he had not. wow. musta had his head in the sand. anyway, i think he took his "the wonder of surfers braving the cold weather" story elsewhere.

yesterday, I went surfing for the fourth or fifth time this year.

I went to a little place with little waves that barely broke, and almost no current to speak of. I got as cold as I can ever remember being.

I pearled multiple times, I fell off my board, I lost my board once... all on 1 foot waves.

I have officially regressed to total beginner kook status. I look forward to learning how to surf.
