Nice Moe! Did you haveany trouble with the lap lines and the glass on fins. I used futures both times so haven't tried glass ons yet.

Thanks Ceedog. I did have a hard time with the lap lines. I had an issue with glassing the bottom that I won't get into but it basically didn't kick like it was supposed to and bled through the tape. After dealing with that and a few other things I was slightly annoyed so I wasn't as concerned with how the laps were going to turn out. I ended up putting the big pin line on the deck to help hide a little of the ugly lap. The fins didn't go too bad. I ended up doing a ton of sanding and as you can probably tell I could have done more. I got to surf it this weekend and it was fun, definitely a different feel.

Seriously, nice job. Looks like you tackled some ambitious stuff and came out looking good. How long is it? look sub 6'...?

One question, it looks like the left (in the photo) fin is toed out? Is that illusion, intention, or other? Maybe that's how twinnies are supposed to be and I just don't know.

Erzats,

I am going to claim other... The picture is a little of an illusion because it isn't that bad but it is toed out a tiny bit and no it wasn't supposed to be.

Long story short... I messed up

. I was in a hurry when I was setting the fins (mistake) and the fin shifted slightly under the tape. I thought it wasn't terribly noticeable but apparently I picked a perfect angle to accentuate it.

Oh and the board is deceiving, it's 6'6ish.

Both fins I've ever placed are crooked in a major way. I was just wondering.

I guess if you feel like the fins are bothersome, you can always reset a whole lot easier than with a fin box.

Board looks awesome. I'm thinking of shaping a 6'6" fish soon too. I'll be happy if it comes out looking as good.

Don't worry too much about the fin Moe. I found a 3/4" fin skew on my template board and it rides great.

Its 5'9" x 21.5" x 2.5" single-dble concave tri. The other is a walden magic fish 6'4" x 22 3/4 x 2 7/8
