-Tony Staples 5'8''. Loose. Not so much of a small wave board as a funky change-up board when things get boring.

-Dirty Bird 6'1'' 20' 21/2'. Lake Erie to Rincon to Central America to OBX to Oregon to Florida. She's been around and she's been wonderful. She surfs conditions she isn't meant to and rides like a longboard when she has to.

-the white one is a new one, North Pacific, 6'1'' 191/4'' 21/2'', round tail, single to double concave, fusion fcs fin system came with honeycomb fiberglass fins that are adjustable 1/8'' front or back - way better than the old system. Also, had a very pleasant experience with the shaper, and got the board in an unrealistically short amount of time. I stopped in 4 times during the process and wasn't ever told to get lost.
Southern Oregon / Northern California all next week to see if it works...

I finished building a 9 ft "Root " long board at Grain Surfboards in York Maine back in August. I'm waiting for the shop to glass it for me and I'll post pictures the end of October. The whole experience was a blast and the surfing in Maine wasnt bad . It was warmer than Oregon

9 foot.
Hand shaped from closed cell automotive foam used in bumpers.
More float, more resilience to damage.
Carbon fiber I-beam stringer.
Flexes on turns and pops out of flex to project out of the turn.

Parabolic rails----side cut just like a snowboard or modern skis.
-------allow release of water in the middle of the board when on the nose.
------- also allows the board to twist and the tail to hang in when on the nose.
Single fin....George Greenough design---hatchet fin.
Extremely chined rail on tail....similar to a finless body board rail.
Can be ridden finless.
Wayne Lynch is experimenting with finless 360's on the face on a 7 foot version.....mini log.

No it's not a soft top pop out from China.
Best longboard I have ever owned.
Designed by the same guy who invented fin boxes and removable fins. (wave set fin boxes in late 60's)
