if this is who i think it is, yes, he surfs well -- much better than me -- and seems to improve every time i see him in the water.

Mr. Dresman, it is in fact Steamer Lane. Have no idea who the kid is. Just some local groms enjoying their summer. We were in teh area and it was flat all over town ut the lane had these shoulder high nuggets working. There was a smal group of local groms ripping and enjoying their youth and it's place in this world.

LAst thing they wanted, or anyone else for that matter, was some fat, over the hill, kook from up north paddling out on a longboard. So I relaxed and enjoyed my vantage point for a short while.

And, I am well. I had almost forgotten about your incredible contributions that many of us always enjoyed reading in these pages. Maybe one day you will allow us to do so again.

No he doesn't! I'm old and fat and I surf better than that; short or longboard. Thought it was St. Annes when I first saw the pic. Every kid under the age of sixteen from the Hook west to the Point (Steamers on the Westside) surfs that good. And; there are lots of 'em. PS ---They all got "Company Town" wetsuits, bicycles and sponorship.
