Getting any rolls/sparring in for 2023?

My oldest is now 2-0 in his MMA amateur career...ranked #7 in WA/OR and #50 in Western US according to Tapology.

He got fight of the night in both of his matches so far.

Contemplated returning now that the pandemic is less...
But, wife reminded me that since I stopped...
I haven't been in a hospital setting getting needles jammed into my spine.
Guess 'll just have to get bad at only surfing going forward.

Great to hear back from you! I think Major Lazer is probably to most OG of the remaining crew along with SmithGrind.

Foulweather comes around every now and again too, most recently as a mid length twin enthusiast Chanel Derrière. Hasn't been around for a while...... heard he was back on the Instgrams tho?

I think we lost our more recent recruit and surf report contributor Howly Wolf. He even went back and deleted most of his posts Must of had some sort of an OSP crisis I did see him once this winter so we know he's still gettin out there.

Just giving you a hard time...... I haven't been sarfing much at all. One session a day short of a month yesterday and it was absolutely terrible! OR surf stoke kinda at an all time low On the other hand Kraken stoke at an all time high!

Maybe deleting all my posts was over the top and that said, I'll probably delete this one too. Just hit a point where I felt the need to reevaluate my relationship with surfing and part of that was purging my identity as a surfer. Still chasing it, still freezing for my waves, still surfing whatever's in front of me, and want to keep it that way.

Did you talk to a counselor about this or something? I can hear it now.... "you need to reevaluate my relationship with surfing" Sounds like Valley Rot to me...... long late winter for anyone who identifies as a sarfer in Orygoonies. I recommend other hobbies TBH. Mostly a waste of time going through the motions thing around here.

Regardless I am glad to hear it wasn't a bot that went and deleted all of those. Very impressive like some AI Machine learning output. "Hey GPT Chat delete all of my posts on the OSP.

Howly, the relationship to surfing evolves over time....the OSP is the way to record the ebs and flows. Surfing used to be my only real passion for probably 20+ years. Over the past 3 years, introducing MMA and semi-serious PB has balanced out my need/desperation for surfing, which frankly is kinda nice. I used to curse long boards, SUPS, boogs, rafts, foils, sails but now Im much mellower about crafts deployed to harness ocean energy. Now I am more likely to grab a log than a stubby....and that is ok, just like the OSP, just a portal into a couple surfers souls, always enjoyed your contributions, hope for more over the summer.
